The Flying Hammerlock Video Review #82: Daffney Vs. Traci

"The Scream Queen" Daffney vs. Traci Brooks, Carolina Wrestling Association, York Recreation Center, York, SC, January 27, 2007.
 

The Carolina Wrestling Association, later Premiere Wrestling Showcase and finally Premiere Wrestling Xperience, was a promotion that ran from 2003-2022.  This show was their York, SC debut.
 

They tie up and Daffney tosses Traci to the side.  They circle each other a few times and tie up again and Daffney takes Traci down and then hits an armdrag.  Daffney applies an armbar and Traci complains to the ref that Daffney pulled her hair, which Daffney denies.  Traci tries running to different sides of the ring to grab the ropes to escape the hold with no luck and Daffney takes her down to the mat again.   Back to their feet and Traci gets her leg between the ropes, forcing a break of the hold.  Traci goes out to the apron and reaches in and slaps Daffney's face.  Daffney responds with a scream, sending Traci all the way down to the floor.  The crowd screams a lot, irritating Traci.  She insults the fans.   Finally, Traci climbs up on the apron and gives Daffney a shoulder to the midsection and reenters the ring.  Daffney grabs Traci's arm for another armbar takedown as the commentator mentions that Traci has yet to mount any kind of offense.   Traci pulls Daffney down to the mat by her hair.  Traci covers and gets 2.  Traci goes back to pulling Daffney's hair, including lifting Daffney up and dropping her down by the hair.  Traci covers and gets 2 again.  Back up, Traci grabs Daffney by the back of the head and sends her face first into a turnbuckle.   Then a biel by the hair.  Daffney is up by the corner and Traci charges in but Daffney takes her down with a kick.   Daffney grabs Traci's leg and goes for a figure-four leglock but Traci kicks Daffney away.   Traci chokes Daffney on the mat.  Traci sends Daffney into the corner and stomps her down to the mat and Traci chokes Daffney with her boot.  Traci chops Daffney and appears to have hurt her own hand in the process.   Traci tries again but Daffney moves out of the way and now Daffney chops Traci.  Then another chop.  Daffney tries to whip Traci across but Traci reverses it and hooks a vertical suplex and hits it for a 2 count.  Another 2 count.  Traci sets up for a piledriver or power bomb but Daffney blocks it.  Traci slaps Daffney on the butt.  Daffney trips up Traci and goes for the figure-four again but Traci kicks her away again.  Traci follows with a big clothesline and covers for a 2 count.  Traci chokes Daffney on the mat again.   Traci releases the choke and applies a chinlock.  Daffney escapes the hold with some back elbows and runs off the ropes.   Daffney avoids Traci's clothesline and hits a neckbreaker.  As they get to their knees, they start trading punches and get to their feet.  Back up, Daffney punches Traci, sending Traci reeling.  Daffney follows with a big clothesline and a headbutt.  A second headbutt and Daffney follows that with a Northern Lights Suplex for a 2 count.  Daffney gives Traci some slaps on the butt, turns her over and finally gets the figure-four and TRACI TAPS!  ****

Really good match with good psychology with Daffney trying for the figure-four until she finally got it.  Recommended and you can watch it here.
