The Flying Hammerlock Video Review #61: Necro Vs. Vader

This review is dedicated to the memory of Leon "Vader" White. R.I.P.

Vader vs. Necro Butcher, PWS, Doubletree By Hilton, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, April 14, 2012

Pro Wrestling Superstars was a short-lived promotion (2010-2012) owned by Highspots.com.   This was the one and only meeting between these two.   The commentary team is Bill Apter and "The Franchise" Shane Douglas.

They circle each other and tie up and Vader pushes Necro into the corner.  They tie up again and Vader sends Necro into the corner again.  They tie up a third time and Vader walks Necro into the corner.  Vader punches away at Necro's body and head.   Vader whips Necro into the ropes and clotheslines him when he comes back.   Back into the corner again for more punches.   Another whip into the ropes and another clothesline.   Necro is on his knees and Vader punches away at him some more.  Back to the corner yet again and Vader chokes Necro.   Some more punches.   Necro goes after Vader's eyes a couple of times.  Now Necro powers Vader into the corner and chokes him.   Necro unleashes an attack of chops and forearms on Vader.   Vader retaliates with some right hands of his own.  Necro backs up into the opposite corner and charges in with a clothesline.  Necro kicks away at Vader.   Necro adds some knees as he works over Vader's midsection.  Necro backs up into the opposite corner again and charges in but Vader charges out with a clothesline.  Vader turns Necro over and applies an armbar.   Necro gets to the bottom rope.  Both guys up and Vader punches Necro a few times.  Vader grabs Necro and hits a chokeslam.   Vader positions Necro and climbs up to the second turnbuckle and hits the Vader Bomb (inverted splash.)   Vader pulls Necro up before the 3 count.   Vader gives Necro a second chokeslam and pins him for the win at 5:49. ***1/2.

While in no way the war that would have happened if this had been Vader in his 1990s prime, it was an acceptably stiff hard-hitting match.  Recommended and you can watch it here.
